Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a cutting-edge regenerative treatment that supports the body’s ability to heal itself. PRP injections treat a wide range of medical and aesthetic conditions. This is a low-risk, non-surgical procedure that comes with tons of benefits for patients of all ages.

What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma is made up of two key elements: plasma (the liquid element in blood), and platelets, a type of blood cell that facilitates clotting and healing. In other words, PRP is blood with a higher-than-usual concentration of platelets.
PRP injections are created from your own blood. A practitioner draws a blood sample, then places it in a centrifuge, where platelets are separated and concentrated in the plasma.
Injecting this platelet-rich blood can support and accelerate healing in a targeted area. That might mean faster muscle recovery, hair growth, or skin regeneration.
What Can PRP Treat?
At The Women’s Clinic, we use PRP to accelerate healing in a variety of areas. Many of our patients come to us with chronic conditions that doctors have either ignored or misdiagnosed in the past.
Our Lakewood clinic offers PRP injections for:
- Stress incontinence
- Lichen sclerosis (itchy, painful skin in the genital area)
- Lack of orgasms
- Painful sex
- Vaginal dryness
- Joint pain
- Hair loss
- Scarring
Among other conditions. We want to help our patients find relief and healing, even when standard medication hasn’t helped. That’s why we offer PRP as one of many solutions for women’s health conditions.
Is PRP Right for Me?
PRP is a relatively new medical treatment that isn’t offered by all providers. However, it is very low-risk and minimally invasive — in most cases, it is a safe treatment option that may support healing when pharmaceuticals haven’t helped.
No one should be prescribed a treatment they aren’t comfortable with. If you think PRP is right for you, come talk to us. We’ll walk you through the risks, benefits, and step-by-step process, so you know exactly what to expect.
